It has to be said, at VisitSabina.com, we love our food and drink. We are of course, biased towards the culinary delights of the Sabina region. So here is our small but growing collection of the dishes and ingredients local to the Sabina area and other parts of the nearby Rome countryside.

Food and drink in Sabina, as with much of Italy, is actually relatively simple cooking, albeit packed full of flavour. Many plates are influenced by nearby Rome and the Cucina povere of years gone by. The focus of the food is on the quality of the ingredients – fresh and seasonal – and doing these ingredients ‘justice’. (Balanced, complementary flavours and well-seasoned plates). Sabina olive oil features highly in many a local dish.
